Clients often ask me where they might hold their training or strategic planning workshops. Whilst I won't promote one business over another, here is my checklist: -is it quiet? -is it possible to have food and drinks served outside the room? - if not possible to have food and drinks served outside the room, how will staff access it and can they do so quietly? - can you put posters/butchers sheets on the walls? - if you can't put posters on the walls, do they have plenty of windows, doors or flip charts instead? -is there reasonable, and preferably free car parking? -are stairs involved? (not preferable for many participants) -how easy is it to contact house staff if you need anything? -will the whiteboard be clean/cleanable? -rubbish bins are very handy -is there a presenter's table and chair?
