A great reminder of the importance of social capital

"When Alex Pentland suggested to one company that they synchronize coffee breaks so that people would have time to talk to each other, profits went up 15 million dollars, and employee satisfaction went up 10 percent. Not a bad return on social capital, which compounds even as you spend it."

Can your people tell your story?

Middle managers are likely to see the world through the lens of their immediate experience of work, and their professional training. This is not surprising as they are expected to be 'the answer people' for senior managers through their deep expertise in a relatively narrow area of professional practice. However when it comes to writing high level reports, briefings or business cases for executive boards, their reports often fail to see the corporate big picture. The reports fail to engage, persuade or inspire their senior audience with a coherent story.

In response to client demand, Oz>Train has developed a new one day workshop which trains middle managers to think like an executive, to identify what senior staff really need to know, and to express themselves clearly, succinctly and confidently.

Recent clients include State Government departments and Local Governments. Contact Dr Alastair Dow on 0447412408 or adow@oztrain.com.au for a no obligation discussion about your requirements.
